Growing Lambs

The Merino lambs are growing quickly. Sweet Gum and Hickory are both drinking from their mom and are sleeping a lot. Sweet Gum is looking for a bottle but, if we walk away, she goes to her mother.

The second batch of Merino lambs were vaccinated, ear tagged, and tails docked this morning. It was actually quicker than we usually do it because the lambs are very well bonded to their own mothers.

You can see Oak drinking from his mother. He was huge when born and is really huge now.

The white ram, Birch, is now 3 months old. He is very self possessed.

The lambs lined up against the fence are the ones we ear tagged this morning. They were trying to get out of the wind. You can see that one mother is baby sitting the group.

I will have rams and ewes available for sale this year. Most will be of breeding age. There will be no papers on any of them. The ram shown by himself is the gorgeous one born last year. He has an unusual coloring and a stupendous fleece. The last photo is of ewes on pasture. I did not breed them this year and several are available. I will not be selling them over the internet. If you are interested, send me an email or call for an appointment. I am a responsible breeder and I do not just sell to make money. I am invested in their future!
