2 Ply Worsted Yarn; Grey - Shetland and Mohair Blend

$30.00

This yarn is composed of Shetland wool and Mohair and each skein weighs ~ 3.9 oz and is 200 yards. Shetland wool combines light weight with unusual durability for the degree of fineness. Mohair is lightweight, warm and insulating, has nice drape and is hard wearing. Blended together the Shetland Mohair mixture provides a yarn that is light and strong and most often used for sweaters and outer garments.

The Sheep and Angora goats are raised on our farm in Woodbine, Maryland and primarily graze on pasture. No pesticides are used on the farm. The fiber is shorn and then washed and cleaned on the farm. It was then spun at a local mill. No dyes were used in the yarn; the color can be characterized as grey and is the natural color of the fibers when mixed.

The purchase price is for one skein of yarn. There are multiple skeins of this yarn available that come from the same lot and can be considered practically identical.

Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
